This Week - Mortgage Interest Rates: 7.33% - Active Inventory: 151 - New Homes: 9 - Closed Homes: 8 - Median Days on Market: 49 - Cooling Down or Heating Up: Stabilizing Last Week - Mortgage Interest Rates: 7.50% - Active Inventory: 144 - New Homes: 12 - Closed Homes: 11 - Median Days on Market: 53 - Cooling Down or Heating Up: Cooling Down Last October (2025) - Mortgage Interest Rates: 6.37% - Active Inventory: 117 - Median Days on Market: 56 Check the linked calculator in the original newsletter to see how higher rates have impacted mortgage payments on the average home in Yorba Linda this year. Yorba Linda Housing Market Update, October 2026 Here’s what happened in September and what it means for you. - 133 homes for sale, up from 117 a year ago. That’s unusual for fall. - 64 homes sold, the same as August. - Homes took a median of 53 days to sell. - Mortgage rates are 7.59% as of October 7. - Single-story homes sold faster than multi-level homes, in 23 days vs. 34. - Sellers who cut their price lost a median of $99,000. Buyers: You’re starting to have an advantage, and sellers are often willing to help with closing costs or pay to lower your rate. Sellers: Prep, market, and price very carefully.
