Here is a Yorba Linda housing update worth knowing about, especially if you have been watching for more condo options in town.
At its October 20 meeting, the Yorba Linda City Council approved the next step for a 62-unit condo project at 19081 Yorba Linda Boulevard, known as Tentative Tract Map 19389. The vote was 3 to 2.
What the council approved was a subdivision improvement agreement and the bonds that go with it. In plain terms, that means the builder, Beazer Home Holdings, has agreed to complete the public improvements tied to the project, and the bonds back that promise financially. The project was originally tied to City Ventures.
The improvements include grading, sidewalks, driveways, a median, curb and gutter work, and repaving the stretch of Yorba Linda Boulevard next to the project. Those are the kinds of details that matter to nearby neighbors, because they shape how the street looks and works once homes are built.
The project covers about 2.65 acres and uses state density bonus rules.
The 62 homes are condos in 10 three-story buildings with a Mediterranean Revival look. The mix is 33 three-bedroom and 29 four-bedroom homes, from about 1,300 to 1,600 square feet, each with a two-car garage.
I do not have pricing or a sales timeline to share yet, and I will not guess at either one. What I can say is that this is one more sign that smaller, lower maintenance homes remain part of Yorba Linda's housing mix, alongside our single family neighborhoods.
If you are thinking about a condo, now or down the road, it helps to know what is coming and where. I will keep an eye on this project and share updates as real details become public.
